theyellowcar Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I'm about to move into a new flat (yay!) but it's on the first floor, with neighbours above and below. I'm trying to figure out what the best solution would be to reduce the amount of noise that travels through the floor. My first thought was a foldable amp stand - anyone use these? Or, do you have any other bright ideas? Quote

discreet Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Getting the amp off the floor helps, but wherever it is in the room it's going to be heard in the flat below if it's loud enough to be interesting for you. Join a band and get some gigs - then no-one can tell you to turn down! (Except the band, but you just ignore them of course). Or find out where your nearest and cheapest rehearsal space is and knock yourself out a couple of times a week. Quote

Transmogrifier1 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 I live in a second floor flat & my two Aguilar SL112s sit happily on the On-Stage Stands RS7000. It brings them up to a good height & certainly cuts down on vibration through the floor. Quote
