Glenn Hughes' P-Bass, In The 70s

I've been watching a bit of DP through the TV (the wonderful invention of Chromecast), in particular the 'California Jam' concert.

First thought was that it looks like a hell of a gig!

GH is playing a gold-coloured Fender P bass, same bass as he seems to be playing on all clips '74-onward after he stopped using the Ric (sadly).

I couldn't see a Fender logo on the bass (unless I missed it) - had it worn away, or was Glenn using a copy? Whatever it was, it sounds really nice in the mix - just wondering what it is.

Looks natural rather than gold to me. No idea what though!

according to him in an interview in Guitarist he played a '65 P bass in his Deep Purple days

GH used a P bass when I saw him with DP in the '70's.

Roger Glover was using a Rick when I saw him pre GH days.
