Burgundy Mist Jazz after recording last night. Pipped the Stingray, and sounded absolutely fantastic :-)

Wow! Really like this bass too
From all the above comments, it seems that those who order a Limelight from Mark
really love everything about their bass

I know I really liked the sound on that Limelight P I played....

As we all know nothing rids you of gas!

Worse still I'm in your neck of the woods in the Midlands this week!!

you're very welcome to a beer/coffee and a try-out if you're around Birmingham centre?

The PUP's in my Limelight '63P died at a gig last wknd :( Phoned Mark and he was very good about it. He will send a new set of relice'd pup's and I'll return the buggered ones. He'll also refund the cost of my guitar tech to swap them out. Great customer service!
Oh god, that's worrying! Did they just stop working?

I don't see how that can happen... was it a connection failure or what?

My guitar tech had them out after checking everything else, jack, pots, cap etc etc. Put a multimeter on them - no output at all. I ordered a Fender Blacktop P from Soundslive last year. When it came the bridge pup was dead! Must just be my luck!

That is weird. Our guitarist is known for killing pickups. The bridge pickup inevitably fails on any guitar he owns for more than about a week.

That is lovely.

I'll tell you whats weird though, when Fender Roadworn series came out, many folks thought the relic'ing was too extreme!

Weird to look back now at a 'light relic' that has more wear than a RW.

Definitely more attractive relic'ing than a RW, possibly more convincing, but I've never owned a vintage bass. Certainly looks the part to my eyes and is completely to my taste. Awesome. Shame it's not a P!

Nice choice of colour :) I contacted Mark a while back about a light relic 66 Jazz in Shoreline Gold, he said he's look into it but never got back to me.
Hm.
He responded to my email almost immediately. You should contact him again. Maybe he can do your Jazz, too, while the Shoreline is in the paint gun anyway... ;)

He did reply quickly to my initial enquiry but as there was some question over him being able to get a dot and bound neck and lollipop tuners he said he's get back to me but never did, The GAS has passed a bit now so it's saved me a few quid.

I've got to say,
I've pondered quite a bit (partly due to having to sell another bass first)
but my ponderings are only about what colour / finish to opt for....

Having emailed Mark quite a few times over the past few weeks
I have to say, he always replies very promptly
and with more options / choices (making my decisions more difficult!)

I will definitely be ordering a bass from him in the new year
because every time I see a Limelight, I love it!
Certainly the ones I have played, and the reputation of these basses goes before itself....

PS. I'm sure your GAS will return Rumpole..... sorry, but it does seem to bite again....
