Jonesy
So excited that I forgot to upload some pics! As well as the mute and decals, I also asked Mark if it was possible to supply an extra scratch plate that just covered the control cavity. He came back with the genius idea of cutting the regular scratch plate so all I have to do is undo a couple of screws and then the bulk of the plate will lift off. Will show what that looks like when it arrives! 11
Reggaebass
Shell pink and Olympic white are my favourite colours, it looks great, especially the fretboard, the mute is a nice touch too
Jonesy
About 20 years ago I almost bought a shell pink P with something like a 68p body and 69 maple J neck (can't remember the exact years) and I've had a longing for it ever since, so that was the inspiration for this (with a few added extras). I asked for the neck to be slightly more aged than the body and it looks fantastic!
Spoonman
This is my Jazz! I asked for a few differences with mine: Fender Hi-Mass Bridge Hipshot Ultralite Tuners Master Volume / Pickup Blend / Master Tone wiring It plays great, sounds great, resonates nicely, and balances perfectly. Also I think it looks rather cool too. Edited February 11 by Spoonman

BlueMoon
https://www.bassic.de/kleinanzeigen/limelight-precision-bass-sherwood-green-vintage-heavy-relic.54855/ Not sure where you’re located @FuNkShUi, but here is a Limelight P bass on sale on an equivalent bass forum to Basschat in Germany.

I appreciate the heads up though What kind of thing are you looking for? A specific colour, level of relic’ing or nut width…?? They’re all fairly unique as Mark builds them to your specific taste so there’s quite a variety. Just a case of hoping the right one comes up. I have to say that Sherwood Green P looks lovely, I wish my ability to read German was a bit better!

I have to say that Sherwood Green P looks lovely, I wish my ability to read German was a bit better! I am probably favouring a P over a jazz. But im genuinely not committed to that either. I've seen some jazzes i really like in the past. And yes, ive had a build from Mark in the past. I had a purple P made by him. Wouldn't be surprised if thats still doing the rounds here. I only sold that because of the weight and i was gigging a lot at that time. This time Its for home and studio use. Im not gigging live anymore, so i dont mind the weight as ill be sitting down. And as im buying a relic, i do definitely want it to look like its "done its time". Otherwise id just buy a new one, right? Marc S
I always wished I'd bought that Fiesta Red P you were selling years ago @FuNkShUi I had a PJ built by Mark, and it was great - but there was just something lovely about that bass you had. The neck on it was just sublime, and really nice to play. But I dithered, and missed out. Ah well.... Hadn't realised you've stopped gigging Kert? I just want to keep playing live for as long as possible. Hope you're well mate? 😀

I really like the Ps, but they were always too heavy to be playing lots of gigs in a row with. Cool basses though. Yes mate stopped with the wedding band at COVID. Just enjoyed having my weekends back tbh!! Still do session/studio work for my mates. Still play lots. Just not live anymore. Hope you are doing good too 👍🏼

Hope you are doing good too 👍🏼 I hope the owner of that fab Limelight of yours is enjoying it & making good use of it Ah yes, Covid put paid to a band I was in too.... Still, I joined another, and a rather different set-up too. I'm enjoying my playing more than ever matey. I'm quite well for such an oldie 😉 But I'm with you re the weight of gigging basses. It's why I've started playing mainly short scale, lightweight basses for gigs - they're easier on the shoulder, and left hand finger joints too. I'm now even pondering selling my beautiful Classic series Precision (in my fave Fiesta Red). It's a real beauty - but I'm not gigging it now 😞 Like I say, as I'm enjoying gigging so much, I want to keep going as long as possible 😀
