Here's mine, No124
58, Jazz neck.
It's a wonderful Bass and I couldn't be any happier with it.
Sadly, If my Warwick doesn't sell then this might have to go.

Nice looking P bass!
I agree with Jazzneck
Sell the Warwick.... You can get another easy enough
But that Limelight is harder to replace....

So this little number came today...

Wow! That's nice! It's rare to see a matching headstock on a P. I want this one but in Sonic Blue :) Could you maybe PM the price.

That is lovely! CAR and Maple board is always a winner combo for a P-Bass!

All the bass I'll ever need.

Lovely! :)
Really like that last P bass too....

I missed out on FuNKshUi's Fiesta Red P, and am gutted
GAS is unbelievably low at the moment - I love the basses I have
(and I have too many lol)

But I keep coming back to look at this thread....
.... and drooling ;)

Keep the pics coming Limelight owners.......

Yea.. My gas had been surprisingly low since getting my limelights too....

Haha, sorry. That's blatant baiting! But I have been pretty settled since having the precision, jazz, and a 5 string sandberg precision type. I'm wanting to get rid of my other basses so those guys get my full attention.

The precision is really good but I got it early on and his relicing wasn't as good as it is now, each one he does looks better than the last, a blessing and a curse.

I must admit, I have had almost zero GAS since getting my Limelight. I've even been quite active in trying to find a bass to obsess over and just can't find anything. Grrrr!

Haha, yeah! I know what you mean. I always default to browsing basses for sale when I'm bored and none of it's doing anything for me, I feel dead inside :|

Lets have some decent photos!
The problem is that even high quality photos don't even come close to doing justice to the quality of these basses.

Having seen 2 examples of fab Limelight basses, I have to say I agree with you
Photos can give you a good overall idea of how they look,
but "in the flesh" the 2 I saw just seemed to ooze a mojo / atmosphere....
They sounded great, and were lovely to play too :)

So I think I'm going to trade in my MM
and order a Limelight in the new year (lets get Christmas out of the way first! lol)
Mark seems a great guy to deal with, and seems to give a fair trade price

My only problem, is that I'm now "agonising" over choice of colour / desogn
It's got to be a P bass, with slimmer Jazz-style neck,
I'm thinking about a YOB bass - which is '63
BUT - I've got a hankering for a P with maple neck,
and apparently, Fender didn't do any Maple necked P's in '63.... :(

I've got a Classic Vibe Squier P, in '63 colours - Fiesta Red, with red tort scratchplate
So does that satisfy my YOB urge?
Do I fancy a P in White, with maple neck?
Do I want one in black? Should I opt for Candy Apple Red?
.... quite fancy one in purple actually....
Help! ;)

Yes, you do! Get Mark to make a replica of my (Rumple's) 1976 Precision, then sell it to me later!

I hope a jazz version doesn't appear for sale soon or my bank account is for it!
What's more important - your bank account?
.... or your "need" for a superb bass? ;)

Late responder, but here's mine (pics off Mark's website). Absolutely love it, it's my #1 bass for most things & better than all other Fenders I've played (& I've played a few). I don't know what pickups he's used but they sound fantastic, gutsy & bright.

I love the relicing, "genuine-looking" or not, & the dime is a good talking point.

I think this must be one of the only Limelights without the Limelight signature as well!

What's with the dime?
Don't know - Mark put it there when he made it. It looks like as if there's been an extra knob there but filled in, although of course there hasn't been! People do ask, though.
