Just paid a deposit on a new P Bass from Mark will be something like this IMG_0299.thumb.PNG.f517fe74803afa86f2f3c8be18d1a000.PNGh

That is quite uncanny. That is very nearly what I have ordered except I have gone for the very light relic with a candy apple red finish. Great minds think alike!

Spooky hahaha

was originally going for black black maple then I saw this and couldn't resist

Wasn't 100 percent sure of the gold adonised plate so I've ordered an extra one in parchment as well for a bit of variety

That looks a good choice Peety :)
BTW, I'm not normally a fan of Gold annodised plates
But there's something about that one on the CS pictured
.... the maple board and red colour.... I think the gold plate looks good on it.
Nice idea to have a choice of plates though! I'm intrigued at how it will look with parchment

Hi Everybody!

I am new at basschat.co.uk and came here because I googled for Limlight basses.

Some months ago I threwing my PJ Bass made by a german luthier (Herbert Müller from Cologne) into the market to sell or trade. And now I got this beauty out of a trade: Limelight 00203 - a '64 Jazzbass, Olympic White over Sunburst.

Limelight-00203-J-Bass-11.thumb.jpg.db02fad7cff566eea6e697b988c5be99.jpg

The picture is taken from Marks website, so credits to him. It took some time to get familiar with the neck shape, but now we are bound in blood. This thing sounds really fantastic.

Last week I put out an order to build a Limelight PJ Bass in Sonic Blue and a Maple Neck ... now I have to wait until the new PJ will arrive. For sure it will wear Marks Logo on the headstock instead of a 7ender Decal.

Best regards from germany,

Marius

Vintage looking but modern neck radius and frets.

I asked Mark which kind of necks he can offer. In terms of Jazzbass there is only one he can apply. It is standard Jazzbass width of 1.5" (38.1mm) on the nut. The profile of mine is much closer to an oval C-Shape than tp an U- or a modern C-Shape. I really like thin and slim necks like the Geddy Lee or the Squier Classic Vibe 60s ones.

So, there it is … my next Limelight the 00211:

This time it's a Custom Precision Bass. Alder body, nitro cellulose paint in sonic blue over olympic white, one piece maple Jazzbass neck, Gotoh vintage reverse tuner, light relic.

I am blown away … Mark build this the last weeks. Sounds prefect with DR Pure Blues strings and its Limelight Pickups. For sure it got the right logo on the headstock

Afternoon Limelight lovers! Having just picked up my third from Mark, I'm now also in charge of the official Limelight instagram account, and will be looking for LL porn to shown off the job they do! Would love any pictures you think are worthy of getting Limelight some attention... @Hutton, @wateroftyne & @Marius I've spotted some blinders from you if you're happy for me to use them?

Search @limelight_basses or click here https://www.instagram.com/limelight_basses/ to find the page. As of today, here's my collection:

They are All Parts necks I believe.
