**ON HOLD** Squier Classic Vibe Jazz bass (with MEC pickups and Schaller tuners) £195

Squier classic vibe jazz bass bought on this forum this time last year. Well gigged by its previous owner and It has done a fair number with myself too but I'm now only playing electro-acoustic basses with my band so this is sat doing nothing really. The bass has a fair number of dings and small knocks,nothing serious.The headstock was refinished before I got the bass and on close inspection isn't the most professional job on the planet but you have to be close up to notice that. One of the bushings on the tuners is different from the others. The chrome control plate has tarnished too.

The bass has been fitted with MEC Dynamic Correction J/J pickups taken from a German Warwick Corvette iirc. These sound great on this bass. On the headstock is a set of Schaller open ear tuners. the pickguard is of unknown origin. The bass comes with a functional gig bag and would be well packed in a shipping box for transit.

What a looker. I'd have this for a little project had it not been for unexpected vet bills this week!! I have a 90s Germany Corvette and prefer the sound of it to any jazz bass I've owned, but it is too damn heavy. Would be really interested to hear this!

Couple of questions... any idea of the weight of it? And how do those MEC pickups sound? Does it growl like a Warwick at all?

Doesn't necessarily sound more like a Warwick due to the difference in woods/construction between the two but definitely sounds like a more authoritive sounding Squier.
I'm in Ayrshire about 25 miles south of Glasgow.
