I need to look into this a little, I'm not at home with the bass at the moment, what research I have done has indicated it could be a 76 as that is when the rosewood stripes started.

Price drop to £800 to get this going..

After some previous posts questioning the age of the neck i can conform from the neck stamp that it is indeed a '75 neck. I have been through a lot of research and checked the neck stamp number against online calculators. According to these the neck is from late '75. I have also spotted a 1975 precision for sale on denmark street, it also has a skunk stripe. I can only assume these are "transition period". Long story short the neck is genuine. I am currently reluctant to split the bass into parts as i think it sounds great and feels god and deserves to be played.

Bump for this link of the bass recorded with new roundwound strings, it does the vintage thing amazingly with flats or deader strings but this demonstrates the sound and output.

The bass is drop D tuned on this song..
