I opened the Laney pa amp we use at a local jam night to find why it had gone dead half way through the night and found this...
[attachment=169899:Laney 2.jpg]
Cracks have appeared in the output transistors allowing the smoke to escape.
I think I could fill the cracks with some hot glue but am wondering if I was to get some smoke from a smoke machine and refill them would it be ok.
Has anybody tried this.

They definitely look a bit leaky to me. You're good with the hot glue as a sealant but I find the best replacement smoke comes from a recently-extinguished match, preferably one of those big ol' 'chefs matches', I think they're called. Snuff her out and wave the smoke in the direction of your busted trannies. Quick dab with the hot glue and bingo - you're ready to rock. :)

Your plan is fine, but you'll have to source some mojo. Do you have a '62 P-bass to burn..? That's the smoke you should be using.

(Disclaimer: Rics are good, too...)
