weepaul
Greetings, Been offered a wee jam session, so I want to travel light. This is what I'm thinking of taking .......... Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 Trace Elliot 1 X 15 (1153) 200 watts The amps min load is 4 ohms, and the cab is 8 ohms. Would this be okay ? I've been out of the loop for awhile so, I'm a bit rusty with this stuff. cheers, Paul
Bill Fitzmaurice
Definition minimum: The lowest acceptable value. 8 is higher than 4, so no worries.
weepaul
Cheers Bill, thought it would be alright. Just didn't want to go ahead then blow all my gear up. Would there be any issues with the cab ?

Guest monsterthompson
That is a 600w head at 4 ohms, so it will generate 375 watts at 8 ohms (per Genz). The cab is rated at 200w, so if you crank it and/or run a hot signal into it, you could damage the speaker. Go easy on the bass eq, probably cutting some as you crank the volume higher. Listen. When the speaker starts distorting, call Kenny Loggins because you are in The Danger Zone.
