Derek Forbes P bass

I had the pleasure of catching Big Countrys set at Upton Sunshine Festival last night, and was suitably blown away, they were awesome. Much props go to vocalist Simon Hough, who somehow manages to capture something of Stuart adamsons style whilst still keeping his own.

anyway, Derek Forbes (who looked cool as in his kilt lol) was playing a P bass, in a finish I didn't recognise. Mirror scratchplate, it looked the business. I found this vid and its the same bass, difficult to make it out though - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXJvm21DQ00&feature=youtu.be

Anyone able to tell me much about it?

I almost bought a Vigier off him a few years ago; he was selling it on ebay the week I went on holiday and I'd put in my highest bid before I left only to find on my return that I'd lost out by a few quid. I wonder if anyone on here ended up with it?
