MaGrOtTeN Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Hey all I'm wondering if someone can tell me what the little black risers are that the string sits on? (attached) I've tried to search for saddles but can't seem to find these little bad boys. They are so easy to lose if a string comes off during a gig... I'm trying to buy some new ones. Many thanks Quote
icastle Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 They're bridge saddles. Not too difficult to find 'Fender type' ones, but the posh ones can be problematic to track down. If they fall off that easily, try a dab of clear nail varnish to hold them in position (once you've adjusted your intonation of course ) Quote
chrismuzz Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Bridges that have those saddles are a bloody nightmare! Quote
ikay Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 If that's a Schecter Stilletto then may be worth dropping them an email - "] Alternatively these may work (see items 5 to 8 in the list) - http://shop.warwick.de/?&c=35352310006&lang=en&smk=1&nm=D0405358001321517424A43801%7CWarwick%7CD0204003001321517427A45006&modul=shop&site=shop_overview Quote
MaGrOtTeN Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 Sweet, I'm sure it's item 8 on the list, I will also try Schecter's UK distributor which is Westside distribution. Thanks everybody for the great tips and advice :-) Quote
bartelby Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 (edited) Can you measure the dimensions of one of them? I have an old Warwick bridge, if they're the same size you can have the bits out of it... If I can find it. The Warwick ones are 12 x 7.5 x 3.5 mm Edited September 6, 2014 by bartelby Quote
