JamesXP Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Just got this today! My first ever foray in to the expensive(ish) bass market when previously I'd never spent more than £80 on a bass! It's... devine to play and listen to! I will do some videos & stuff when I'm more acquainted and less tired! Here's some eye candy! Quote
Annoying Twit Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I've seen an Ibanez similar to that in a local shop. Both yours and it look fabulous. That's a big jump up from Squier Affinity basses and similar. Quote
JamesXP Posted August 31, 2014 Author Posted August 31, 2014 It really is! I've been toying with getting a new bass for ages.. and from my squiers I never saw much point ugprading to mexican/american fenders that weren't stupid money as sound/playability certainly wasnt worth it over my other basses but the sound and playability of this is amazing.. the preamp is extremely versatile and the neck is so tiny! Can't wait to get it used in a live situation... and I now have straplocks! Quote
Byo Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 That is an eye catcher for sure. Lovely looking SoundGear. My first bass was also a SoundGear and the neck is amazing on these: skinny and super fast. Enjoy!!! Quote
ezbass Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I have the 5 string version of this bass, they're really easy to play with a lovely snarl when you dig in. Enjoy. Quote
Mornats Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I've played one of these in my local PMT and loved loved loved it. Been gassing for one for ages now. Congrats! Quote
madshadows Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Fantastic bass, congrats on a great buy John Quote
JamesXP Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 Strangely this was from PMT... great people to deal with! Very accommodating Quote
HowieBass Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Great looking bass! Manchester PMT (assume it's from there) is a real Aladdin's cave isn't it?! Quote
Evil Undead Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) I like PMT and I like ibanez basses Local mom and pop music store has one of these, but there were some QC issues. I've played others like it that were great basses though! Happy NBD Edited September 1, 2014 by Evil Undead Quote

Jellyfish Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Lovely bass. I'm a huge fan of Ibanez and if I didn't believe in the 'one in, one out' rule, I'd still have my Prestige as it was a stunning bass. Congrats. Quote
