yorks5stringer
On a similar theme, doesn't look much wrong with this for £54: http://www.thomann.d...bass_s_deko.htm Edited September 1, 2014 by yorks5stringer
Annoying Twit
I've never seen a Thomann 'deco' item that showed the actual damage before. I always assumed they were far more damaged than that. This fretless acoustic has a strange looking bit of damage in the heel of the neck. http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_b_30_nt_fl_acoustic_ba_deko.htm

LeftyJ
I've never seen a Thomann 'deco' item that showed the actual damage before. http://www.thomann.d...tic_ba_deko.htm
Surely it must be more than that! There are also two lefty acoustic basses in stock which they labelled as "DEKO", and they included that same picture of the damaged neck heel (but mirrorred), but they also added in the description:
Note: The bass can not be tuned to the usual pitch. There is a risk that the strings thomann come loose from the bridge anchoring. Injury!! Strings only slightly tensioned.
In my head, I also added "ACHTUNG!" in Adolf Hitler's voice when I came across the "Injury!!" bit. Annoying Twit
@tauzero - in that photo, your speaker looks to be even bigger than 15". It makes the bass look short scale. How big is it? Re: "Dekoware": On the German music forum someone bought a 'Deko' Jazz bass for €45 or something like that. It had some sizeable scratches in the finish, and the bridge needed moving a bit, but it was otherwise OK. He says (if google translate worked properly) that he's going to use it for modding. http://www.musiker-board.de/threads/lasse-thernøe-harley-benton-mastermind.549556/page-22 (see post 439) In the next post in that thread, someone bought an e-traveller guitar which needed the bridge filing down, but was otherwise OK. And although the GK was a bit more than £31, the Thumb certainly wasn't.

Which made my eyes pop out at the size of the speaker on that amp!
