So ive had this for a week now.
Played two gigs and had about 4 hours practice with it, so im familiar with it.

I saw it on the Limelight website, and i pretty much decided there and then that i was going to have it.
If you asked me to describe my ideal bass, this wouldnt be far off. So how could i say no?!?!
Lovely looking bass IMO.
I was quite surprised by how accurate the relicing was. There is wear exactly in the places there would be, if i had actually used this bass since '63. Just a coincidence of where i anchor my thumb i suppose, but still, a pleasant coincidence!
Feels extremely comfortable, and is pretty light.
Light enough so that it doesnt bother me when playing it. One gig lasted 3 hours, and i was fine the next day.
The pickups give the bass a great vintage sound to my ear.
I love how slim and easy the neck is to play. Im pretty sure its a jazz shaped neck.
Certainly feels like one
Im so happy with it, its now my gigging bass.
This is saying quite a lot for me as its ousted my '87 Warwick Streamer.
All in all, couldnt be happier.
Would recommend a Limelight to anyone

Yes, it is a jazz neck. I hummed and hawed about that one for a couple of weeks but it was just a tad too reliced for me. Beautiful bass though and many congrats.
Make sure you put some photos on the Show us your Limelight (porn) thread. :D

Seriously nice bass though! Limelight basses are fantastic quality and I'm sure you'll be smitten. Most of us who bought one are :-)

Yeh i didnt think id ever be playing a vintage esque instrument, because i'd be too worred about damaging it.
This is a great alternative though.
As mentioned, im really happy with it!!

Welcome to the club, that's a lovely 'P' - your red was nearly mine but i opted for an aged white one instead. Mine has become my main gigging bass now, mostly for weight compared to my 74 jazz, but i find that the more I play the Limelight the more it feels like and old friend and I'm actually really enjoying the P' bass vibes in my soul/funk band. Enjoy the Limelight :)

Love that colour. Jet Harris played one just like it in The Young Ones, an image that may well have kicked off my P bass obsession...
When I am next on the lookout for a Precision, I am pretty much convinced that Limelight is the way to go.

Now waiting for my heavy relic P, olympic white over Candy apple red, matching headstock and chrome covers. The weeks are going incredibly slowly to say the least :(
