mikebass84
Sorry if this has been asked a million times already. I have recently purchased a Way Huge Swollen Pickle and it kicks out some Brutal low end. I am finding that I have to cut the bass and low mids when using it but when I turn it off my bass sounds a bit thin. Would getting an eq pedal which I would switch on to suit my needs be a good idea? I'm not really looking at spending a great deal of money
Lebowsky
yes but I would do the opposite. EQ your amp to whatever clean tone you like, and use an EQ pedal to "fix" the Swollen Pickle. If you want to go cheap, Boss GEB-7 and Mooer Graphic B are great choices, as they allow you to control bass and low mids freqs.
mikebass84
Would you put the eq pedal before or after the swollen pickle? I've seen a few behringer eq pedals for dirt cheap. They worth trying?

[/quote] Definitely after the SP. It's the sound coming out of the pedal that you want to EQ, not the sound going into it.
charic
I do something similar on my board. I use my Tech 21 XXL and Boss EQ on a loop together on my LS2. Mix a bit of clean in and I'm well away
