Hi
I've got a hankering to get a Gretch White falcon bass.
Have any members got one they would be willing to let me try? & has anyone ever played the mythical beast?
I can't seem to find one anywhere other than Glasgow or the States.

Cheers Vindi

Is the one in Glasgow in Guitar Guitar, perchance? I'd offer to test drive it for you, but I'm terrified that it'd turn out to be an expensive trip for me, since it looks fantastic and I'm already struggling with Gretsch Electromatic GAS.

<p>They do look great, only ever seen one on stage though with The Dead Weather:

Here is a cheaper option if you just want a white semi hollow - to be honest I prefer this one!

Thanks guys.
Yeah Wingnut the one in Guitar guitar Glasgow seems to be the only one in the country. The electromatic looks great but I prefer a long scale double cutaway.
I'm playing in a rock n roll band & thought it would be the dogs bollox - but for the sort of gas they're asking its got to be spot on.
The Jack Casady looks good Danny but I thought if I'm gonna go hollow body I wanna try the best before I try the rest!

Thanks for all the advice guys.
Well I tried a Jack Casady & I have to say I was quite suprised - its a good bass for the money - if I was starting out it would be worth a shout.
I also tried the electromatic but was very disappointed. I know its each to his own but I didn't like the neck at all, felt the body was too fat to get my arm around & the pups stuck out a long way from the body.
It felt sluggish to play with any speed. put it back on the shelf after 2 minutes!
The white Falcon is awesome! Needless to say the CC is maxed out!
