I think it's an Energy bolt on but not 100%, and I'm no Status expert! Just thinking back to old ads in Bassist magazine!

I also thought it was an Eclipse. Any idea of the current value? This guy wants to trade it for a Grestch guitar, and I want to make sure the trade is fair.

One went last year on eBay for £400 but a 5 string. There's one up at the moment on eBay with a £295 reserve

also depends on what model Gretsch you are thinking of swapping and its condition

i could think of some gretsch's that would be worth at least four or five of these

It´s kind of a rare model - a solid body one from 1979 - a Gretsch Committee - not a White Falcon, but still worth a little bit more than the Status I guess

maybe hold out for a better spec status or swap+cash
