gary mac Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 An unexpected combination of the modern looking cabs and the retro looking Fender head, like it though Quote
Lozz196 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I`ll be betting that gets some great sounds. Did a recording through one of those once, all eq set at noon, fantastic sound. Quote
They are still being made (a cool £1700-odd at GAK http://www.gak.co.uk/en/fender-super-bassman-head/56166/) Looks amazing and I bet it sounds superb. Afraid i couldn't cope with 65 pounds weight though Quote
JTUK Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 The weight isn't the whole problem, .... for me, it would have to compete with the Aguilar DB at that price ( and weight ) and that is a very TALL order. Quote

Billy Apple Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 I love the fret boards on these newer Rics Quote
gsgbass Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014
I love the fret boards on these newer Rics
Rickenbacker is using a Caribbean Rosewood now for the boards, in place of the former African Rosewoods. The change over I think was just over a year, to a year, and a half a go. There a-bouts. Quote
