jazseven
Hey guys, the woofer in one of my M-Audio BX8a monitors has just died, looking for a good replacement that won't cost me a bomb as they're not massively expensive monitors in the first place. Thanks in advance Jaz
jazseven
more specifically, a kevlar driver to match the one in the other monitor i have contacted m-audio too and am waiting to hear back from them
stevie
If you're going to continue to use these as monitors, your only solution is to replace the damaged driver with an identical one. Anything else will change the sound. Unless you can find out who makes the driver (it's unlikely to be M-Audio) you are stuck and an original spare part is your only answer. I'd guess it's a Chinese special, but you'll need to examine it to find out more.
MoonBassAlpha
Or get the offending speaker mended by Wembley Loudspeakers. They can pretty much repair anything that can go wrong with a speaker. Might cost about the same as a replacement, but at least it will be the same as the other speaker
