JazzSmart Workshop - Pop Big Band - Dorset - October 2014

We are pleased to welcome [url="http://www.jazzsmart.com/?email_id=15&user_id=154&urlpassed=aHR0cDovL2phbWVzcmF3bGluc29uLm9yZy8%3D&controller=stats&action=analyse&wysija-page=1&wysijap=subscriptions"]James Rawlinson[/url] and James Stead to host an exciting JazzSmart Workshop on the 27th and 28th October this year. James Stead (Swing Unlimited Big Band, The Dual) will be bringing along his arrangements of modern pop standards (Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk, Earth Wind & Fire etc.).

James Rawlinson (The Regular Joes, Red Fez Orchestra, Forza Sax Quartet, JRQ) will also be on hand concentrating on the brass section. We will be working over the two days to produce a set to be performed on the Tuesday night in a local gig, open to the public.

This 2 day Pop Big Band workshop is for all ages (minimum Grade 4 standard playing ability). Vocalists, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Keyboard, Guitar, Bass, and Drums. The course will concentrate on improving your reading, arrangement, improvisation and band leading skills, giving you the ability to go away and form your own band.

This workshop is being held at the Coda School of Music in Christchurch, Dorset, where there are ample facilities, in a modern and well equipped venue. Cost of this 2 day workshop is only £80.
