Romeo2 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Fantastic bass, huge sound, endless sustain. Had one in honeyburst, only sold it when I realised I am better off with a chunkier neck. Those pickups are monsters, and they have a nice thumb rest shape, no idea why other manufacturers don't do this, once you try this you'll be annoyed at all other pup covers that don't have this. Mornats Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 He's in Bedford according to his avatar thing (I'm guessing you're on a mobile and cant' see that).
Davy Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Yes that's right, on a mobile, thanks for passing on the info.
Davy Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 I've got an SR500 with Bartolini pickups and a 3 band EQ which I love but I wonder does anyone have any experience with both guitars and could describe how the two might might compare tonaly? Tempted..........
jahfish Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Ibanez describe the SRXs like this Muscular big brother of the SR series, the SRX is designed for heavier playing styles. The EQB-II DX 2-band EQ delivers a wide variety of sonic textures and the Ibanez PFR pickups are favorites among bassists who prefer a straight forward set up. I think the necks are very slightly thicker than the SRs?
stevekendal Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I've been looking for one of these, but with basses and amps coming out of my ears, I really need to do a trade/+cash either way with somebody!
stevekendal Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 would you feel confident about packing it to go by courier? they can be a bit rough!
Grangur Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 (edited) That is one beauty of a bass. @Zephead: Take a moment to take a look at what your OP looks like on a phone with the mobile interface. It's almost unreadable. Edited September 2, 2015 by Grangur
