Which band, and when?

There's only really been one band that caught my imagination enough for me to want to be a part of it rather than any of the bands I've actually been in and that was a Nottingham band called "None So Blind" circa 1982/3

Here's their single from 1983 recorded at the Eurythmics studio and released on their own Beat Trouser label.

Unfortunately like a lot of independent records of the time it doesn't come close to capturing the power of their live performances.

For me, there can only be one choice: ca 1973 era Jethro Tull.

Good choice. Passion play would probably take a bit of learning though!

I'd have gone for the '77 or maybe even '82 tours. Either way, as a bass player, you would end up getting your backside thrashed with a riding crop during "hunting girl". This may or may not be a good thing, depending on whether you're into that sort of stuff :)
