paul_5
Steinberger can be tricky to ID correctly as they keep chopping off the bit with their name on. Clowns!

JamesTun
Damn son! Anything without a head could be classed as Steinberger!
JapanAxe
It's a bit like calling any vacuum cleaner a 'Hoover'.
alyctes
I would like to move the land far under. Does anyone know a course I could take?
Bassassin
Clearly not a Steinberger, looks like a one-off projecty thing made with Hohner hardware & (possibly) neck. The seller's probably calling it a Steinberger because the Hohner tuner/bridge is licensed from Steinberger, & says Steinberger on it. Shame there aren't more pics, I'd be interested to know how the neck's attached, since Hohner Jacks & B2s are through-neck. I think it's quite a cool little bass. Jon. JamesTun
I asked the guy. As it shows in the description, he basically said that the bass player for their band went to Australia leaving his bass. I am tempted to ask for more pictures. For £125, you can't go wrong with most basses! Even Hohners. James.

JamesTun
This is probably the lightest looking bass I have ever seen.
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
Obviously nor a Berger . Looks like a nice backup bass tho'
Happy Jack
That looks a lot like a Status Streamline to my eyes. I doubt it will go for £125 but, if it does, that would be a very low price IMHO.
alyctes
I'm pretty sure Playaway Guitars used to sell these. No idea if they're any good, but I'm considering finding out
JamesTun
The shape definitely is not a berg. But I do think it could potentially either a Status or a Hohner.
ikay
I messaged the seller to clarify what it was and they said it was a custom build. Pic of back showing through neck construction attached.

tauzero
I reckon it's a Hohner B2A modified with body wings & a veneer on the front covering the original pickup routes. I quite like it.
Control cavity is wrong for a B2A but it could well be a B2 - the control cavity is at a slant to the neck-through, which is right for being parallel to the bottom edge of a B2 body. Looks a very neat job. If it had one more string, I'd be tempted.
