AndyBass Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Finally got a bass back I loaned out years ago as may need to flog it for a few quid. Trying to pin down the model but no sign of a model no. anywhere! Anyone got any ideas? Any help very much appreciated!! Please ignore my freaky foot on the photo... Quote
Bolo Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Did you check the neck pocket for a serial? Quote
AndyBass Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 Sorry I normally play double bass so don't know what a neck pocket is...there's no serial externally anywhere so am assuming I need to unscrew something? Quote
sblueplanet Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Remove the strings and unscrew the neck plate. Remove the neck to see if there are any markings on either neck join or body cavity to help identify but I doubt there will be. Best is to search ebay UK + US as well as google image search for 'Jackson bass'. If you see a matching one, the webpage its on may hold the info you require. Quote
Oopsdabassist Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 From the pic it looks a bit like a JS40, googling found this site, dunno if that's any help or not http://bluebookofguitarvalues.com/Electric_Guitar_Values/Manufacturers/JACKSON/Categories/ELECTRIC_BASS__MISC_MODELS/Models/JS-40?id=JACKSON_ELECTRIC_BASS_MISC_MODELS_JS_40 Quote
