thought i'd just say how amazing, and helpful this book was and is.

for reading, and for learning the works of motown great james jamerson.

if theres and bassist that want to develop there groove, knoledge of there instrument and reading.

get this book. :)

does anyone know any books along the same level and standard, with dots only... for Arangements.. and ensemble works in jazz...???

+1 Re Motown/JJ book

If you're interested in Latin vibes I recommend Funkifying the Clave by Lincoln Goines and Robby Ameen - can be used as a primer; covers most of the popular flavours; and includes CD's for bass and drums.
