TheGreek
An impulse buy from ebay a few months ago with a cheeky bid which I didn't expect to win. There were a couple of other BCers bidding on it and even though I offered to sell it to them when I (unbelievably) won it I still have it. Arrived without a case but I can include a hardcase in the price if required. I had an email from Chris giving the history which must have deleted cos I can't find it. Apparently built for a guitar show in London in the 80s this was one of about 200 which they made . I'm told the sold for about £800 back in the 80s. I can't real say what t's like to play as I've only played it for about 30 minutes in total and I can't get on with the 45 gauge strings and because haven't played it I haven't bothered to change them. Weighs between 8-9LBs. TheGreek
I'm in Hatfield, Herts. The bass is in good condition considering it's 30+ years old, everything in good working order.

Matte_black
Just curious... what kind of pickup is that? How's the neck attached to the body? Glued in or bolt-on?
TheGreek
It's a Set Neck same as lots of Gibsons - I believe it's glued as there are no screws, etc.
hubrad
The photos are just not clear enough. . That pickup looks at this distance like a Select by EMG.

Matte_black
Is the Select line from EMG as old as the bass? I don't think so... anyway, it's a great deal!
Thunderbird
They probably are the original pups the selects came about in the early 80s and maybe over water got them first as testers for this bass I think there the original pups
