King Tut
I recently put an Artec SE 2 into a nice Bass Collection bass. I'm really pleased with the results and thinking of turning one of my jazzes active. I know a good luthier who can relocate an jack socket to the bottom leaving me a four hole plate but I'm worried the room 'under the hood' will be tight. Has anyone fitted an SE 2 into a Jazz . . . . any tips?
brensabre79
Get the SE-2A it has stacked bass and treble pots.
King Tut
I thought of that but heard some not so good reports on it. Have you used one? Is it any good?
brensabre79
I have, it's in my P at the moment actually. It used to be in my Jazz, but swapped it for an EMG BTC (also concentric pot) because you can tweak the frquencies. I don't think it's any different apart from the concentric pot instead of 2x non-concentric. But I haven't used the SE-2... just SE-2A. plus it will fit in a Jazz with no mods so you can always revert to passive in future...
