NoLogic69
Has anyone out there used one of these Mark Bass Mark Stands, the little fold away stand that kicks back your cab? I'm using a 4x10, and lately been doing some quite small gigs where I'm fairly close up against my cab. All the sound is hitting me in the back of the legs. Don't know if they'd be strong enough to kick back a fairly weighty 4x10 though. Anyone any suggestions? Cheers!!
OldGit
Just lift it up nearer your ears Or put something about 2 inches high under the front of the cab to try the same effect as the MB wedge. I've used a boss pedal box in the past. Watch the tipping point though
alexclaber
A length of 4x2 or some Auralex PlatFoam works well. Alex
tauzero
As a student of Edward de Bono, I would say that the answer is to get bigger gigs.
WalMan
Used one with a CMD121H combo. Whether it would stand a 4x10 I am not sure, but it is fairly sturdy
mr_russ
I use one with my markbass 2x10 - tis good, really sturdy
bennifer
If it was a 2x12 or 2x12 i'd suggest getting a metal flightcase for the cab and then pop it on top of that to raise it nicely, and also protect the cab while in transit - a 4x10, that might make that idea take the cab a bit high
nottswarwick
I have one. It is great. It will apparently support any of their cabs.

WalMan
My only question for those that have one & use it is "Do you think it affects bass response & possibly volume due to only the back corner of the combo/cab being in contact with the stage/floor, or is that just my imagination?" nottswarwick
quite possibly low end is tailored. but for applications where the stand is used tp assist the bass cab as an onstage monitor this imho can be a good thing. clear moderate non boomy stage volumes, leaving the pa to do the bog low stuff. i love mine, but it will not suit everyone. Not just me then. It certainly can help, though with the compactness of some gigs it can mean my buttocks rather than my knees are getting the benefit
