What would you do?

Hello everyone got a bit of a question that I would like people's input on.

Since getting my dream bass the Gibson G3, my Fender Highway One P has been barely played. I've tried playing it but it just doesn't feel and sound as good to me as the G3 so I don't play on it for long and always end up back on the G3.

What would you do?

Keep it but all it would be doing is collecting dust

Sell it

Really not sure what to do so would appreciate some opinions!

Thanks

Yep, I'm with everybody else on this one. If the love isn't there any more, move her on to someone else who will play her. I know it's hard to let go sometimes but you'll prob be glad of the money to put towards another GAS object of desire sometime.

I just sold a couple of amps that I didn't use but wanted to keep for nostalgia and 'just in case' but I'm so pleased with the Warwick Stryker that they helped fund which arrived today (thanks to a BassChatter)

Are you gigging? It's always worth having a backup bass, but if the Fender has lost its magic sell it and get the Epiphone equivalent of your Gibson?

If only that were possible - there is no Epiphone equivalent and never has been. They did a PJ wearing bolt on necked "Ripper" a few years back which is as close as it came. Same body shape and construction being the only similarities with a G-3.

Exactly. Interesting to read about the B-450 prototype, almost proved me wrong ;)

No not gigging any more and no plans to in the near future, just happy doing videos for my YouTube channel!

I did actually briefly own the P/J ripper but really didn't get on with it and couldn't get a sound I liked from it! I'm sure the older epiphone version was/is better
