Telebass Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) Had one of these lined up at GAK in Brighton, ready to get in return for the Alien. Poor setup. Quite bulky neck. They took it away to their tech, who tweaked it some. Still not wonderful. While the tweaking was in progress, I copped a fondle of the sunburst model. Very different. Slimmer front to back, action much lower, felt very good. I'll probably be able to improve it more once I have some flats on it. Just goes to show, you need to feel the goods! That and a Hiscox plus some cash, I is a happy bunny! Pics on Saturday! Edited September 12, 2014 by Telebass Quote

miles'tone Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 (edited) Very nice! Congrats for your new bass - the sunburst and tort look spot on, really neat job (I'm pretty picky when it comes to burst finishes). I recently bought a VM P5 in candy apple red and I'm loving it. It's my only electric now and more than good enough, really inspiring to play - insanely good value for money! Lovely trio of P basses you have there sir, the two 4's look tasty with the blocks Edited September 14, 2014 by miles'tone Quote
Telebass Posted September 14, 2014 Author Posted September 14, 2014 (edited) I might go wild at some later point and buy a VM Jazz V, then swap the necks, just so they all have blocks! Edited September 15, 2014 by Telebass Quote

Telebass Posted September 17, 2014 Author Posted September 17, 2014 Have done one rehearsal with it so far. My wrist noticed it, but we were at it for 5 hours! Picking up the main 4-string, the neck feels like a toothpick! Proper standing-up audition/rehearsal tonight with a blues band! Quote
Telebass Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 I'm loving this bass. Lovely low action, sounds great, not too heavy. Would definitely benefit from some Hipshot Ultralights. But then, all my basses would! Quote
