John Schoen
Ibanez recently released this bass in the US and when I asked Hoshino Benelux they told me that it would not be available in Europe. I have been lusting for an Explorer type bass for a while and this one looked just right, so I ordered one from Sweetwater. The "top" strap button is located on the neck plate and the bass balances perfectly. The neck is slimmer than the Precision necks that I normally prefer but it is not too narrow (40 mm at the nut) so I will probably get used to it. Sounds good, looks ace, I am happy. discreet
I've always fancied an explorer-type bass too, but I fear I may end up looking like a pensioner wearing a hoodie and trainers... Nice bass though.

White Cloud
Beautiful. I love explorers. I'm about 90% certain that Ibanez manufactured these during the 80's...they were readily available in the UK.

Skybone
Destroyer basses were made in the 80's, and were available in the UK. Like the Iceman, I don't think that they were an overly popular model in the UK, but there were certainly a few about. Not sure how many survived though. Sweet looking reissue, it's about time they revisited the Destroyer. Must admit, I really want one of the Artist reissues, now I want a Destroyer bass too! Merton
Lovely bass! Always been a fan of this shape ever since I saw photos of Phil Collen playing a Destroyer guitar on the Pyromania tour. He's now got a Jackson Destroyer which looks equally ace. The other pointy bass I'd like is the Hamer Scarab. Enjoy
