PRICE DROP to £400

Hi All,

Sadly, after not having owned this long, I need to move it on as funds are limited at the moment. Its a 100w, all valve, vintage Burman amplifier. Hand built in the late 60's, this is a straight forward and awesome sounding amp.

It has new power valves that I've run for only around 10-13 hours, has a new handle on the pre amp and has been recently serviced by Mr foxen from whom I purchased it.

Its in good condition I'd say, not outstanding, but good. The chassis has bent a bit in the power section as I understand this is an early example of the amp and aluminium was used rather than steel in the later, 70s models.

Quick overview:

Pre-amp
2 instrument inputs, 2 gain controls for each input, bass, mid, treble, presence
Pre-amp has a fitted connector to the power section which powers the pre.
C.4kg

Power section
Shuguang 4 EL34B power valves
Impedance plug for 4, 8 and 16 ohm operation
Slave out to run as many additional slaves as you like
Multi turn bias pot for biasing
Cab out (jack)
About 20" wide, circa 22kg

I paid £450 for this. I can meet within 30 miles or so of Bedford and I also work out of Bisceter so can arrange something between there if you like. You're welcome to come round of course (Bedford) and try before you buy. May Post as well.

Pics below, I'll aim to get some additional power section once i get it out the chassis (didn't have the right screwdriver just now!).

Back up - I'm in Leeds on Tuesday - could also meet at Kings X in London/trainline south of Beds......

Also dropped to £400 now. Had a few enquiries but need to move it on due to space for littluns.

Thanks

I haven't taken any - I understand the band Anta use this set up - they have some music up here: http://www.anta.org.uk/

There's also this youtube footage which is the PA pre rather than the instrument pre - i think this has an additional reverb: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=im5Lbw4x0GE

Sounds pretty much this to my ear - appreciate the quality wont be great though on utoob... let me know if this helps.

Thanks sir salty. I've had a mooch on YouTube earlier and couldn't find anything that was very appealing. I'll check out the links you posted.
