Hi,
Does anyone know a know a good bass tutor in the Swansea/Clydach area?

I’ve been playing for 10 years and have got to a decent standard but I haven’t progressed in a few years. I think I need to see someone to teach me music theory properly (rather than just the mish/mash I’ve picked up over the years!) and I’d like to have someone have a look at improving my technique.

Thanks for any help. :)

Thanks for the suggestions. :-)

I did a bit of research before I posted this thread and I saw a lot of praise for Jon. Unfortunately with my job and my young son I can’t travel quite that far.
I have found the names of a few bass tutors in Swansea but it’s impossible to gauge if they’re any good for what I would need (many were guitarists teaching bass, which was a bit of a put off for me). Maybe I’m being picky but bass lessons are wuite expensive and I don’t fancy throwing my money away on an unknown quantity. :-)

Rikki, another +1 for Jon.
Well worth the time and effort to get up to him.
I would definitely say to give a bass teacher a swerve if they say they are a guitarist who can play bass.
Go up for one lesson. Dont commit, and just see how it goes.
I can guarantee you'll be back up though ;)
