JamesTun Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Anyone know much about these? Apparently they are great pre-amps, with pre-sets. Good for metal and hard rock. Although its a guitar pre-amp can be used for basses as well.Very late 1980s! Regards, James. Quote
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Yeah, always advertised in bass player magazine back in the day, ( when I had hair also). Very hair metal. Never saw them advertised in the uk at the time tho'. So, that meant. Never tried one out . Quote
JamesTun Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 Yes exactly, players like Paul Gilbert were big users of this. I believe they're applicable to basses as well. They seem to go hand in hand. A lot of the older guitar players use them through Mesas. Maybe they sound great together! Quote
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Mmmm, I think over kills bass player dd verni and randy coven used them . Quote
JamesTun Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 Potentially the pre-sets are geared to the guitarist than the bass player. However they look cool. And they sound great! Quote
