Have just read the exellent, flying with instruments guide,

Just a quick thought,

I have a perfectly good P Bass that gets little use, and I am adept at setting up Basses,

Any reason I cannot take the neck off, and put in the suitcase with clothes ?

or is there some good reason not too if flying(Customs etc)

also pedals in hand luggage ok?,,

nope nothing as far as i know of that says you can't do this must be in the checked in luggage though due to the strings. I've had spare strings confiscated at security from a hard case before

pedals are fine in hand luggage as long as you can demonstrate they power up like any other electronic device now
