miles'tone Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I really would like to be able to do this somehow so I can plug my bass into my Zoom B3 then into my phone and record straight onto the tape machine app: http://tapemachine.samalyse.com I realise there is the Peavey ampkit for iPhone but I was hoping there is something similar for android (had a few googles on the matter but still not too sure). I'm getting a Samsung Galaxy S4 or S5 as a free upgrade on my mobile contract soon. I like the Galaxys, always had them but never really thought about doing this kind of thing on one. I just want to be able to plug in, record some bass and email it to my buddy who has a studio. That's it and all I need. I'm not a tech head at all so the ease of this really appeals to me! Anyone know the best way to achieve this at all? Many thanks! Quote
stoo Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Something like this ought to work..... http://www.amazon.co.uk/CableJive-ProJive-Microphone-Adapter-recording/dp/B007R5WRHU/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1411031789&sr=1-1&keywords=xlr+to+3.5mm+microphone+iphone The 1/8" jack plug needs to be TRRS - Tip/Ring/Ring/Sleeve so it gets the connection for the mic/line in rather than just the normal TRS type that stereo headphones would use Quote
miles'tone Posted September 18, 2014 Author Posted September 18, 2014 Oooo! Thanks stoo, that looks perfect XLR out of the B3 and a headphone port too! Old school ideas with nu school toys Awesome. Quote
3below Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I did but the 1/4" jack split the case wide open, it would not go in easily Seriously thanks to Stoo as this is of considerable interest with phone and slab. Quote
