NBD B) I can’t do whole pictures yet – it’s so black & shiny it shows every bloody grain of dust & then a few more – I’ll get the maid to get her uniform on & give it a good going over with her feather duster – then I’ll clean it up & get some photo’s.

Can you guess what it is yet? https://www.dropbox.....14.56.jpg?dl=0

Something a little odd where that G string goes over your nut...
Isn't the G-string supposed to go up your crack??

I'm willing to bet it's Precision-shaped.

Is it a Roger Waters Precision? The brass nut and lack of truss rod plug make me think it is one.
We have a winner :)

Of course there is a clue in my signature - the bit where it says '14 MiM Roger Waters Signature Precision, Black/Maple.

One day I'll work out how to get an image to show - from dropbox

Funny, the serial number of mine is only three higher than yours. They must have made the trip across the ocean together. :) I love the neck on this model; the skinny vintage frets feel so good.

There seems to be a dark line under the G string right next to the nut. Is it where it's been cut and filed? Lovely looking P bass :)

Yay! Sweet, I was very pleasantly surprised to find the vintage frets, after reading they had medium jumbos, in fact it was the only thing that stopped me getting one sooner :D

That's the second time today I've found close cousins in the serial number department - my Fenix Jazz is only 278 away from another on here
I see what you mean - no it's just a shadow/reflection - you had me worried for a minute :D In fact it is shortly going to get a little attention to the nut slots, they can come down quite a bit! Just waiting/giving it a chance to acclimatise before I start tinkering :gas: & fitting some better strings B)

That's quite the looker, John!
Cheers Andy :) I've been fiddling a bit, fitted a one hole Ebony thumbrest, tweaked the nut & ordered some Status Hotwire Flats for it, my fingers are not meant for cheese graters, when they come I'll do the final setting up.. then I'll get some better photo's done when it's finished :D

Body shot complete with dust! https://www.dropbox.com/s/cmgk9on58xbfckv/2014-09-18%2013.16.28.jpg?dl=0

Meanwhile/anytime - you're very welcome to give it a go next time you're round B)

It's a lovely bass. :)
All that shiny black paint makes it a bit of a dust display, so I changed the pickguard on mine. I wanted to retain most of the blackness and got this one from Pickguardian.
