Nope, not bad at all. What he was saying for 80% or more of the vid was "How to not suck as a musician" - and saying rehearsal is for learning songs . . . rehearsal is for making sure the songs you learn from practice actually work in the context you'll be performing them. You'll be rehearsing a lot more if that's when you first see the material!
