Sorry for the crap pic's but here's my Masterbuilt P/J bass by Jason Smith.
It is a '59 P bass that has these twists - Black Pearl finish, Chrome pickguard, Jaco J bridge pickup, Vol, Vol, Tone Controls, Side mount jack, Badass II bridge & early 70's logo.

I'm happy to say that Chiliwailer let me have a play on his '55 and it's stunning. The '63 ain't bad either ;-)
Hope you're keeping well mate.

Hey pal, good to hear from you. How about teasing us all with your lovely Geddy and Dusty pair? (Er, if you know what I mean...). I hope the Dusty has flats on now!

My recently reacquired Closet Classic Jazz. It's got better with age :)

Thanks man. I'm still stunned by how completely different these three are.
The Pino's neck feels quite chunky in my wee mitts, but even so, it's just an absolute dream to play.
The Dusty feels completely the opposite as the neck feels tiny, even in comparison to my American Jazz Deluxe, but it's attached to a P body.
The Geddy is somewhere in between. As you know, now it's had a proper set up, it just sings. Hard to put it down.

Good things come in 3's they say. Your jazz is exceptionally nice and it's great to have 3 so different. I'd love to get a CS Post 57 precision to complete the set!

I couldn't be outdone by you Warren so I bought a made in 2014 CS 1964 Precision last night! :gas:

There is a story http://basschat.co.u...shop-precision/ but I hope I manage to keep it!

AHHHHHHH This thread is so dangerous to my bank balance/credit card. Also I just found out Guitar Guitar are offering 2 years interest free on CS instruments. I was going to pick my favourite but frankly chaps they are all lovely, although I do have a soft spot for relics and Mr Palladino.

One day, one day.........

As the CS marketing slogans say 'when you're ready'.

2 years interest free is pretty good. I had to borrow and pay back for my second CS bass and I'm still clawing back the outlay of my newest addition. But I've learned that if you pick a good one, they are well worth it.

I should have got a Dusty earlier in the year when I had the chance.
Will have to make do with finally joining in, with this purchased yesterday, 64 relic in Firemist Gold, matching headstock :D .
One previous owner, made 2010.

Mate, that is stunning, nice one!
The Dustys sure are great basses, but then so must be your new Jazz. Therefore, I reckon this won't be the last CS you buy.....
Thanks fellas, you are probably right. I would love a Pino, but over the last year, the realisation is I struggle with Precision nut widths.
The other realisation is that, as many gigs as we do, 2 basses is actually more than enough.

But we don't want to do that do we

So, may be just keeping an eye out for another jazz neck CS, although to be brutally honest, the 4 basses I now have are all exceptional in their own way.

Including the FSR Mex P/J, my go to at all gigs  .
