NancyJohnson
I spend a lot of time looking at gear online...basses/amps etc. but nothing really excites me at the moment. I suppose to a degree I'm pretty content; I'd like a lightweight amp, but that's pretty much it. stingrayPete1977
Id like a Lakland 95-14 but I'm not gassing as such, other than that like you I'm fairly happy. I should spend more time learning to play the kit I already have!
Roger2611
I am looking out for a used Fretless sunburst Stingray / Sterling but I don't want to spend a load of money on one, I have looked at the Sterling CA34 but it doesn't look like there are sunbursts in the UK at the moment
HowieBass
I'd like to have a little flirt with a Stingray some time, no real desire for any other 'classic' bass (Hofner Violin, Rickenbacker 400x, Gibson Tbird/Grabber).
krysh
no, you're not alone. I love my gear and don't have gas for anything, esp. since I don't know anything that will make me be a better musician. but I also own an ultralite rig. Highfox
I think I'm set as well atm. Love looking but not after anything, 4 rigs and 7 basses pretty much has it covered for me lol.
NancyJohnson
I've been fortunate I suppose. Got a few nice basses (several Thunderbirds/a Ric) and a rig that a few years back I would have sold a kidney for, but I just keep looking. I can't quite put my finger on the feeling. I guess if Gibson stepped outside the box and did some better coloured Thunderbirds I'd feel a little more excited, but now I just feel a little meh. Edited bit here. I went on eBay the other night and just sorted the bass content by selling price...there's some lovely vintage stuff that (with little fear for my testicles), I could easily buy right now, but I'm like, 'what's the point?' FinnDave
I only buy stuff to replace that breaks or gets lost.

[/quote] Maybe all you need is a challenge. The colour of basses are not ment to make us better musicians... Maybe you should upscale to five or six string basses. There you'll see it's a lot to learn and study, and like this your GAS will come back. At least for me worked pretty well ( twenty years ago ) Best
neepheid
Been on a selling spree at the moment, am now G&L-less, which bothers me a bit. Have trimmed it down to just Gibson/Epiphone and my Yamaha BBs (which are worth bog all, because lovely as they are to play they're ratty looking and not amongst the posher ones). No doubt I'll be back, but it's nice to have the space in the bass cupboard and very slowly plan how to fill it back up again Edited September 19, 2014 by neepheid

stingrayPete1977
There is some really nice stuff lined up for the double bass bash, all of it proper expensive so I'm hoping to come home not wanting everything!
blue
I own all the classic vintage iconish basses so, no I'm not shopping or looking. The only bass I don't own is a Tick. Blue Edited September 20, 2014 by blue
