Uberkate
Hola, I'm looking to upgrade some of the hardware on my new(old) strat and was wondering if the saddles that you can buy from Allparts etc. are the same/interchangeable for both trem and hardtail bridges? Just the little saddle parts, not the overall unit. Afaik I'd need to check the spacing too? Edited September 19, 2014 by Uberkate

But may I recommend you replace them with Graphtech saddles? They are brilliant.

Joeyfivebags
I know wdmusic stock Graphtec saddles, think they are around £40. Just check the specs match i.e. vintage style vs american style.
Ancient Mariner
For me, different saddle types give different strat tones (others may hear differently!). Bent steel saddles provide the most twang and snap, cast steel soften the bright edge and give more sustain, saddles with peizo pickups built in can get a bit 'thuddy' and lack attack. My favourites are cast stainless steel, and if properly smoothed, don't cause string breakage (the main selling point for graphite saddles). If you don't mind ordering from the US and enjoy the idea of a wide variety of parts, have a look st the guitarfetish website (www.guitarfetish.com) for all kinds of hardware.
