doctor_of_the_bass Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 (edited) Allo! Due to the acquisition of many new basses, I'm letting my lovely solid colour `ice blue' Status Series 2000 bass go - she does not get much of a look in these days and so she needs to go to a loving home! See piccies further down this thread, seriously interested persons please email me at both: and: Looking at £1000 plus semi-flight case - this is the only one in the world in this colour! Cheers Nick Edited August 19, 2008 by doctor_of_the_bass
OutToPlayJazz Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Hey Nick, you want to put this on Statii.com (if you haven't already!) Sounds like a really nice bass... If you send the pics to I'll happily put them up for you on here Rich.
G-77 Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 (edited) is it this one behind the funny looking fella ;-) Edited July 29, 2008 by G-77
Kiwi Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 I've played this bass, am having serious difficulty persuading myself not to buy it. It plays flawlessly, classic Status sound, super super low action. 'Ave a bump.
G-77 Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 i think Nick said it was a one off color, looked very nice in "person"
doctor_of_the_bass Posted July 29, 2008 Author Posted July 29, 2008 Tis indeed the bass in the pic! My chalfonts were playing up at the Bash, hence the facial gurning! Cheers guys - it really does the business but have fallen in love with some French girls and another `natural' Essex bird...!! Rich - thx for the offer - will try and get some more pix to you - if ye can post them here that would be great. Many, many thanks.
OutToPlayJazz Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Would the new 'natural' Essex 'bird originate from Colchester?

I've 'ad 'er for many years, just fallen in love again (natural graphite Series 2000 #27) - plays like lightning through a warm slab of `can't believe its not butter'!
OutToPlayJazz Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Will have to drop in and try some of your collection at some point, Nick! Your place sounds like the ultimate toyshop!

mathewsanchez Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 That has to be the be the best looking status i've ever seen! MEGA BUMP for a bass I wish I owned.
OutToPlayJazz Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Yes, best of luck with the sale, Nick. Someone will get a fantastic bass here
doctor_of_the_bass Posted July 30, 2008 Author Posted July 30, 2008 Allo! Thanks again for all the comments - meant to say would consider trades + cash in my favour (JayDee Roadies, fretted/fretless etc or something of that ilk!). Many thanks! Nick
ped Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008

WHY IS THIS NOT YOUR AVATAR!!! Awesome lol
4000 Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 That's probably as cool a Status as I've ever seen. Unfortunately I have real (and very painful) ergonomic issues with the upper bout of Statii so couldn't go for it if I wanted to.
doctor_of_the_bass Posted July 31, 2008 Author Posted July 31, 2008 Ped! Two reasons! 1. There's only one bass in that pic...! 2. Female bassists would inundate my Inbox (ooer!) with messages of unrequited love! hehe!
OutToPlayJazz Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Come on, people! Someone buy this - It's a one of a kind & I guarantee you that once you've played a Status, you'll never look back! Nick's a nice guy as well! (But don't tell him I told you
