ambient Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) For sale, mainly because I want something smaller and lighter for train/tube use, is my beautiful Yamaha SLB100 Silent bass. This is a really beautiful instrument, it plays and sounds pretty much like a 'real' DB. It has the detachable side pieces and the knee rest. Currently fitted with a Fishman Full circle pickup, as well as the Yamaha Piezo. It does have a few very small bumps, but absolutely nothing that affects playability in any way. It's a big bass, so these are to be expected, and are mainly on the back and sides of the instrument. It comes complete with the original gig bag. Collection only, I wouldn't even consider shipping it, although delivery is an option, for train fare Edited October 6, 2014 by ambient
ambient Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 Trade for something like a Clifton mini EUB or a Markbass 1x12 combo.
Marc S Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 From what I've heard of these EUB's, they sound great Wish I had enough cash atm GLWTS

Beedster Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I've owned both the SLB-100 and the SLB-200 and whilst the 200 has a lot going for it, if I had the choice I'd still buy the 100, it's a magnificent instrument, typical of Yamaha at their best, and with a second PUP to support the onboard PUP and circuit (which are designed largely to drive headphones - which they do very well - as opposed to being amplified for live use), probably as good an EUB as you'll get.

ambient Posted September 28, 2014 Author Posted September 28, 2014
Hi. Where are you based Cheers Mick
I divide my time between Birmingham and London where I'm at uni. The bass is in Birmingham, but can easily be brought to London. I can deliver pretty much anywhere for train fare I'm a student and have a YP railcard, so train travel can be very cheap !
Marc S Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 If only I had the dosh for this.... ... if only my Stingray would sell... if only..... GLWTS - I'm sure it'll go soon I've heard some more clips from these basses, and they seem to get the closest to an acoustic DB..... Can anyone pick me 6 numbers between 1 - 49 ?
THIERRY BASSE Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Hello my name is Thierry, I'm bassist in France. I am interested in your ad. I moved me to come try SLB100 on 22 and 23 October. The price is £ 800 with the cover and the full circle? No problem on the bass? Tell me if this is possible for you at that time and if the bass is still available. I live in the south of France, so I have to reserve a hotel. Thank you for your answer. My email is: see you soon Thierry
