karlfer
Carvin BX 700. This beast has red backlights for stage, ss or valve pre amp switch, contour, eq plus switchable graphic eq so lots of tonal options. MADE IN THE USA. Has a 2ohm selector switch on back. It is 4 months old and in immaculate condition. New around £460, I would like £340 delivered to you mainland UK, or £325 collected from Wigan. EDIT, post#11 has a demo, thankfully not me! Bank transfer, cleared cheque or cash on collection. Sorry, no PAINPal. Hopefully link to the handbook thingy. bx700-revA-manual.pdf It does not come with lockable lead in the UK. My feedback should be linked at bottom of post. Reason for sale, pathetic! I have just bought some Markbass cabs which I use vertically for sound dispersion. As can be seen from Fri Sat night gig photos, the head overhangs the cabs by an inch either side. I can feel this visual aberration burning into the back of my skull . I have discussed this bordering on mild OCD with other members and I am grateful to report I am not the only one Think that's it, crap photo's alert. OH, I FORGOT!!!! Don't know if it just works because it's my photobucket page, BUT, if I click on the top photo, it opens my photobucket page. I can then clip a magnifying glass icon and it zooms the photos Edited October 11, 2014 by karlfer
FuNkShUi
This is a lot of amp for the price. Anyone who gets this will be very happy
LukeFRC
why not use the carvin vertically too - may help with sound dispersion

I mean, they even made custom guitars/amps for some geezer called Vai
why not use the carvin vertically too - may help with sound dispersion
As in falling off the top and bouncing around Edited September 27, 2014 by karlfer
3below
I know just how annoying the 'overhang' can be.. VBA 400 and Sound City 120 with Barefaced Dubster. A great amp, hope sale goes well. Have you thought about a keyboard rack or some kind of amp stand - save the amp from vibration induced fatigue..... Save ££

The feet on the amp kind of overhang and keep the head in place. It's just I like neat and tidy and a head should never overhang. It just looks wrong. molan
If you took the feet off would it slot more neatly between the cab corner protectors and the overhang wouldn't be as visible?

LukeFRC
I'm wondering what's going to happen when you notice that someone stuck all the tuners on the same side of your headstock - not really balanced that is it?

karlfer
No answer to that is there A few offers for trades, especially Ampegs, so may have to learn to live with it. Not a huge problem as it is an excellent amp with masses of tone shaping and volume. Carvin are not that well known this side of the pond, here's a bit from the dark side CARVIN BX700 & 4-10 CAB ... Raslee
Yes shame more people aren't willing to give these amps a go -they are brilliant. Guess as you say bit of a unknown quantity this side of the pond. As you know i have the BX1500 and have no plans to part with it for a long time, great clean sounding amps with masses of flexibility and they're very light too. Really great classy amps, buyers would not be disappointed at all....wish mine had the funky fascia lights like your does. Have a bump for a great amp
karlfer
Thanks Raslee, appreciated. This head was supposedly bought last Wednesday by a FEEBayer. I have waited in all day, it's now 3 hours past his arrival time, he ain't answering texts/phone/email, so I think I can assume the worst . So, Now reduced to £300 collected from Wigan, £315 insured courier mainland UK. Anything less than that I might as well just keep it as back up. Happy to listen to possible trades though. Cheers, Mr. Pigged Off, Wigan. PS, in better condition than many demo heads I have seen. Edited October 7, 2014 by karlfer
karlfer
Carvin inform me that this head can be used without speakers. I understand that is important to some folk.
