First rehearsal with new band

I had a random idea last week of a band I'd like to try, fired it at some mates who were keen, and tonight we had our first rehearsal, and I have to say it sounded really promising!
I'm the guitarist/vocalist, and have spent the past week beasting myself on the material, there's a long way to go in terms of getting it 'just right', but I plan on booking a gig for the new year to set a hard deadline. Very pleased and excited, now I just have to cross my fingers they all stay enthused and onboard!

A great first rehearsal really makes the adrenalin flow and hopefully bodes well for the future. Rough out the songs and then start polishing them once you know how each other plays in a band situation.

Thanks all, just hope I can maintain the others enthusiasm, it's a side project for all of us, so could be tricky, but I have a feeling it could work perfectly in that context once the initial slog of learning all the material is done.
