Bassman Sam
The mrs is watching Our Zoo and it's not bad. Thankfully, we have the iPlayer, I don't want to miss Mr Dury.

thisnameistaken
Is that the film with Andy Serkis? I saw that at flicks, enjoyed it. :-)

And with all the flashbacks it was all a bit too clever for it's own good and the cups and plates throwing scene was ridiculous.

fumps
Watched the film last night, not a fan but the film was outstanding. I know someone who has his old battered Gibson SG that Mr Dury sold to him. its an old battered guitar but he loves it
BetaFunk
Well the song is awesome!
The song is indeed awesome. It's just a pity that the film was so poor. I'd rather remember those smokey and sweaty London pubs and clubs where i saw Ian Dury many times and where he was at his best.
It's sad the movie has fans left wanting - but from the interviews and bits I've seen of Ian Dury he was such a unique character and artist it seems a lot to ask to recreate or simulate some of that magic. I don't think I'd want to watch a movie about him, at least not now. I'll just go on enjoying his music and performances, as well as reflecting on his often genius lyrics. What a "clever bastard". timmo
I never saw it, as i am not much of a fan. However, the book of the same name is a really good read.
