Saw this on the Ibanez website. I'm not convinced to be honest...it also looks a bit clumsy design wise.

Not for me, however if you could substitute the control pad with a 2-axis foot pedal controller (like the Zoom Z-Pedal) it'd be far more user friendly IMHO.

Yeah, that's a pretty ugly bit of integration aesthetically and, like HowieBass says, it's just awkward ergonomically.
Still, good on them for doing it in the first place.

Cool idea, but I'm not sure if effects by hands is the way to go on a instrument like a bass. Two free feet allow more convenient interaction - if a little less precise.

I can't see it replacing stomp boxes in the near future. Could be perfect for some acts though.

It seems more suited to the 6 string Electric Guitar to me after watching the two vids. on the Ibanez site, looks bloody ugly to me though !!

I wondered what the hell was going on until 2:00 on the bass vid then I 'got it'. Not for me but some young bass turk could get a lot of mileage out of this for some bass/dubstep cross-over.
