ambient
I experimented with effects pedals over the summer, but could never get them to sound how I wanted, and I was always frustrated by the fact I couldn't route them how I wanted. So I went with a Boss multi-effects which was truly great, but too heavy. So now I'm think of using my MacBook that has Logic Pro X, and MainStage 3. I'm planning on getting maybe a Softstep to control it all. Anyone else using this or similar ? I have to say the effects in Logic are pretty amazing, and extremely tweakable. P-T-P
I was tempted down a similar road a while back. I was using a an Apogee Gio and found the whole mapping process a bit daunting/confusing/tedious/frustrating. When I added to that the thought of using the MacBook at gigs where there's no stage and the punters are right on top of where the band is set-up, I decided against it. But I totally understand the temptation because there are some really usable FX in there.
