I want a cab to easy the load on the single 12" speaker, I'm thinking either a traveller 210 or the NY112 cab.

I'm using either a 5 string warwick or 4 string precisions

Is there anybody that has been in this same situation or does anybody have any advice/opinions

I`d look at the Traveller 121H as it`s virtually identical to your amp. Adding the same cab to your set-up is ideal, no changes in eq needed, just more of the same sound. If however you`re looking at a smaller cab then the NY121 is great, I use one with my CMD121P combo, and adding this in really makes a difference.

Yep, as Lozz says. The NY121 is a great compact little cab. Or the 121h, slightly bigger and with a nicer tweeter. If you like your combo, I'd suggest one of these two as well.

I'd prefer the NY121 but I'm paranoid that it won't sit underneathd the combo depth wise, would if no ok sitting on top?

NY121 is 4" or so shallower than the 121H so it won't really work underneath it. However it's exactly the same width so the top front plastic cab protectors will interlock perfectly.

From the front people won't see the difference in depth So it'll just look like a 2x12 rig. You might want to cut the piezo in the NY as the horn in the 121H is higher quality and sounds nicer.

Only real downside I can think of is that your amp control is in the 'middle' of the rig rather than on top.

We haven't had this set up in the shop but we have tested a 121P combo on top of a 121H cab (which is more or less the same thing) and it works really well as a complete rig.

If you're anywhere near us we should be able to get an NY121 for you to try with your combo at decent volume to see how it sounds :)

I work part time at BassGear in Twyford, near Reading.

It shows up in my signature but I think it's invisible if you're accessing via mobile - sorry about that, I always forget!

I have a TRV 121H and a NY 121 and the 121H sits ok on the smaller cab and is stable. I tried the NY121 on top but I prefer to use the horn and so the TRV 121H has to be the higher.
